The Liverpool Office Launch took place on Thursday 14th June and it was a great success! Approximately 150 people turned up to the launch, with clients such as Peel, Wilmott Dixon, and Liverpool Council in attendance. Mark Kitts, one of the Directors of Liverpool Council, even kindly gave a few words at the launch, giving an impassioned speech on the growth of Liverpool and Walker Sime being at the heart of it.
We entertained our guests with some great food, great drink and great company. We sourced our catering locally from Bean café, situated just across the dock from our office, and served locally sourced sustainable food and local craft beers. Supporting our local businesses is very important to us, especially in Liverpool, and we wanted to show that support with our clients and guests.
We’ve started to make our Liverpool office more at home and have added images in the reception area. These include projects from Walker Sime and Planit-IE and it looks fantastic! We’ve also put up glass manifestations with images of the dock, so the Liverpool office is really starting to take shape and look the part now.
Dez gave a brilliant speech on the night alongside Mark Kitts and Peter Swift, MD of Planit-IE. Here’s a snippet of what he had to say on the evening:
“This is our fourth location and most important. We have always believed in this City. We have always believed in the people of this great City. We believe in the public sectors in the region. We believe in our 20 staff based here who all live in the region. We believe in all the great regeneration in the region, in no particular order Liverpool Waters, 10 Streets, Festival Gardens, the Knowledge Quarter, the continual development of The Ports that made this City, the Royal Albert Dock and across the water – the Amazing Wirral Waters”.
Thank you to all of those who attended and made the event such a success! We can’t wait to see what the future holds situated at the heart of Liverpool Waters, a project that we are so passionate about and heavily invested in.
