Demolition of existing mobil oil facility, major remediation and contamination challenge of existing site for Blue Chip manufacturer to support the nuclear sector.
Major Challenges include poor ground conditions, construction of deep pits below water level and designing of steel frames to take up to 8 heavy duty gantry cranes capable of carrying up to 250 tonnes.
The facility is bespoke and designed around a production process within the ability to expend by up to 50,000 ft2 within 5 years.
Walker Sime undertook a 2 stage tender process to appoint a contractor under a JCT D&B form of contract.
