We’re thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotions of Andrew McNaghten and Chris Tildsley to the roles of Director within the company. These promotions reflect their dedication and expertise in the field as well as Walker Sime’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering career growth.
Andrew McNaghten: Pioneering Ambitious Growth for the North
Andrew McNaghten has taken on the role of Director of Project Management with a focus on the Leeds region. His journey within Walker Sime started 5 years ago when he joined as Associate Director. In his new role Andy will drive a strategic growth agenda for the Project Management service line in Yorkshire and the broader business.
Speaking about his new role, Andrew shared his enthusiasm, “I am really looking forward to implementing an ambitious growth strategy in the Yorkshire and North Midlands regions. To ensure the growth strategy is ultimately sustainable, this will mean that our client base and our skilled workforce in those regions will also expand, which is very exciting for me as Director.”
In his time at Walker Sime, Andy has developed strong and trusted relationships with the likes of UOY, Moda, Blocwork and Muse Developments. Looking forward, Andy is excited to work with fellow Directors in order to drive future growth in the region and grow the Leeds office.

Chris Tildsley: QS Quality and Team Growth in Liverpool
Chris Tildsley’s journey with Walker Sime spans 7 years and in this time Chris has been instrumental in delivering QS projects for clients such as Bruntwood, Peel, Placefirst, Legal & General, BAE and Eureka! Science + Discovery, among many others.
Commenting on his promotion, Chris said, “I love the team I work with in Liverpool, the wider QS team, and the business generally. I look forward to continuing to work with the rest of the management team and wider Walker Sime family to ensure our growth and quality service to our clients.”
As Director of Quantity Surveying, Chris is determined to drive the growth of the Liverpool office’s team while continuing to deliver results for his clients. His promotion serves as an inspiration for those starting their career journey, and he offers valuable advice, “Make sure you pick the right firm for you – one that will invest in you and help you grow. And, importantly, make sure you understand who does what within your business and within the wider industry. And finally, accept you won’t be the best at everything. Be the best at what you know and when you don’t know the answer, make sure you know the people that do.”
