Infrastructure Consultancy:
Power & Energy

Get in touch

The nature of the energy we consume is changing. Currently, around 40% of UK electricity comes from renewable sources. By 2050, that figure should exceed 70%. That gap won’t be filled by chance. It will be a result of a transformation in the way we generate power and decarbonise and diversify our energy networks.

The transformation is being driven by energy companies.

And in a variety of ways, we’re supporting them every step of the way.

We Deliver

You don’t have to look hard to find the impact of our energy transition work on the UK landscape. In Manchester, the striking tower of the Civic Quarter Heat Network is the visible evidence of a hidden network that heats and powers many of the city’s most iconic buildings while lowering their carbon emissions and improving air quality. We were the network’s project manager.

On the Liverpool City Region’s equivalent project, we’re helping to ensure buildings along the waterfront can take advantage of low-carbon heat and hot water, courtesy of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. And on the Viking Link project, we’re helping to deliver cleaner, more secure, more affordable energy to the UK.

What We Deliver (And Who We Deliver It For)

  • National Grid Group | ASTI
  • National Grid Group | Viking Link
  • Liverpool City Region Combined Authority | Mersey Heat Network
  • Manchester City Council – MCQHN | District Heat Network

We’re a vital part of a design and build contractor team. We make it our mission to identify any potential value engineering opportunities, plus discrepancies within the tender documentation. And that includes pricing points, notes and reminders in the bills as necessary. It’s all about attention to detail and insistence on the highest quality output.

Because when you’re talking bills of quantities, small things like this really do make a big difference and can be the difference between our client’s winning or losing a project.
