Nick Wdowczyk Promoted to Director
Dez Walker, Jon Sime and Duncan Firth are delighted to announce the promotion of Nick Wdowczyk to Director. Nick joins the team with responsibility for the development of the Quantity Surveying offer and team and the growth of the Yorkshire region.
Nick, who joined Walker Sime in 2008 as a trainee Quantity Surveyor, has had a meteoric rise to Director working on prestigious, landscape-changing projects. At 34, he will be the youngest Director at Walker Sime, and heads up a team of 25 quantity surveyors for the business.
His promotion to Director comes after 6 years as Associate Director and will continue to see him in a client facing role overseeing multi-million pound projects. And Nick couldn’t be happier “I am thrilled to continue my career with Walker Sime as Director of Quantity Surveying. After 13 years with the company I am looking forward to growing the QS team and to playing my part in the continued expansion of the Yorkshire region.”

Nick, who is married, with 2 young children plays an active part in the Walker Sime culture. For the Springhill Hospice 2.6 challenge, he had his 5-year-old daughter throw 26 wet sponges at him. And when he is not dressing up as Baywatch’s Pamela Anderson or a human Christmas tree for great causes, he’s playing football and running.

On reflecting on his Walker Sime story so far Nick shared some of his highlights as making life-long friends, working on career-defining projects such as Manchester’s £100m New Victoria residential development, and meeting James Corden at an awards ceremony in London, when Walker Sime won the Consultancy of the Year.
Nick’s role as Director began on 1st June 2021.
