Walker Sime secure Greater Manchester social value award

Last month Daniel Edge delivered a fantastic speech at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Young Assemblies, following his impressive talk we’re proud to say we’ve been awarded the bronze social value mark.
The social value award recognises the time and hard work donated by companies to help inspire the region’s future workforce, and the opportunities they create. “Social value” is a way of thinking about how scarce resources are allocated and used. It involves looking beyond the price of each individual contract and looking at what the collective benefit to a community is when a public body chooses to award a contract.
Dan presented to an audience of 50 people at Manchester Cathedral delivering his speech with confidence as he educated his audience about his construction career, his role within the Project Management team and his university course. He is completing his year out with us as part of our Project Management team whilst studying for his degree in construction management at Salford University.
