Are you an NEC Project Manager with quantity surveying, RICS project management and construction project management experience? We’re on the hunt for talented candidates to join the Walker Sime team.
Every project must be closely managed so that it is completed within the expected timeframe and budget. Our NEC Project Manager Jobs within a quantity surveying capacity is to ensure this is the case for our clients, along with all those who are involved within the process.
As someone who is required to have excellent interpersonal skills, be commercially astute, have excellent written and verbal communication, Project Managers carry utmost responsibility for the teams that they lead.
We’re particularly interested to hear from candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- Extensive experience within project management, with a background in construction and quantity surveying
- The ability to be able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, while maintaining the meticulous attention to detail that we’re renowned for
- Accountability for the profitability of projects, including the commercial strategy of the project to deliver within the required margins
- Successfully manage and maintain contract cost reporting, to ensure all financial information remains accurate and up to date, including but not limited to budget and tender allowances
- Able to identify contract variations
- Experience in liaising with all parties within the process including contractors, administrators, architects, local government and end users
- A thorough understanding of HSE and PPE guidelines, especially within a construction environment
- A genuine dedication to the industry that will be reflected in each and every project, regardless of its commercial value.

Managing the maintenance and new construction of the site which includes resurfacing of docks, building new dry walls, quay walls and implementation of craneage equipment
As a NEC Accredited PM you will be pivotal in maintaining the excellent client relationships Walker Sime has built over many years.
- NEC3 accredited PM – must be named person on an NEC contract
- 10 – 12 years Project Management experience
- Proven heavy civil engineering background
- Ideally experience in marine/ports/bridge/roads/water or sewage
- Relevant degree qualification
- Chartered
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen desire to build and maintain client relationships
