Forth Yards is an ambitious brownfield development that seeks to dramatically transform a derelict site adjacent to Newcastle Central Station. This mixed-use scheme will include over 700,000ft2 of offices in several phases, restaurants, bars, all associated public realm, and a multi-storey car park for the station with up to 1000 spaces.
We’ve provided the initial Project Management and commercial input by our Quantity Surveyors as the various concept schemes were considered and evolved.
This project aims to unlock future developments and provide a development platform for a new mixed-use business district to extend the city centre. The scheme will provide a link to the railway, Metrolink, and the main access road to Newcastle. Improved pedestrian footpaths and cycleways will be provided, alongside a blend of retail and leisure facilities that will generate a new destination hub for the city. The scheme is a joint venture between Network Rail and The Bloc Group.
We are experts on brownfield site remediation and delivering complex masterplans. We have assisted the client’s team in preparing high-level feasibility and financial appraisals – utilising our detailed knowledge and understanding of complex market conditions. This development will help unlock a vacant site, creating a new district for Newcastle with thousands of new job opportunities.
