Holiday Inn Express Barrow-in-Furness

Services

Walker Sime produced the measurements and bills of quantities for the Holiday Inn Express at Barrow-in-Furness in its entirety.

The interior is contemporary and vibrant, with modern seating and warm timber textures.

An appealing sequence of spaces lead from the reception through the bar lounge, on to the dining area. Each carefully considered to feel warm and inviting – and combined with the glazing makes the area open and bright.

The hotel offers meeting and function rooms in addition to co-working spaces – and is said to have already significantly enhanced the local area and residential community.

The new-build Holiday Inn Express is a 127 key hotel based in the centre of Barrow-in-Furness which stemmed from recognised local demand from leisure and tourism guests, as well as business travellers working with local industries.

The development occupies a town-centre plot in a privileged location with close proximity to the impressive and historic Town Hall.

The facades were designed to help reinstate the enclosure to the adjacent square, whilst dark red brick was used to harmonize with the traditional local building stock.

A distinguished glazed corner animates the exterior of the hotel, and further, large-picture glazing is used throughout the ground floor guest areas, to connect the life of the hotel with the hustle and bustle of the town street.
