Upperbanks, previously known as the Rochdale Riverside project, is a mixed-use consortium development set to offer 200,000 ft² of retail and leisure facilities commissioned by the RDA for, and on behalf of, Rochdale Council.
We were appointed by the RDA to provide Project Management support, and to critique existing processes and procedures. Our direct involvement offered a simplification of processes, resulting in streamlined management to establish a less complex, more efficient approach to the overall project.
The development comprises one and two-bedroom apartments for rent, as part of the council’s plans to deliver more than 10,500 new homes to the local area. The scheme includes a hotel, and the site is located next to the first phase.
Tools and procedures were presented and implemented to mitigate risks and costs to the overall programme – allowing for improved communication to all stakeholders. As a result, Rochdale Development Agency requested we extend our services.
